An investigation is underway into vandalism at Sahuaro High School's new football field turf and scoreboard.
Tucson Unified School District said the facilities represent a significant investment in students and the community.
Officials emphasized there is no reason to assume those responsible are connected to any rival school.
TUSD's focus is on supporting the investigation and holding those responsible accountable.
The district encouraged anyone with information to come forward.
