Repair work to begin on southeast side Tucson roadway.
The Tucson Department of Transportation and Mobility is advising residents of upcoming road work on Stella Road.
15 through Sept.
18, crews will start repairs on Stella Road between Mann and Jessica avenues.
Drivers should slow down near the work zone, watch for signs and crews, keep extra distance from other vehicles, and avoid distractions.
The department stated that this section of Stella Road was included in last year's voter-approved Prop 411 Collector Project, which upgraded Stella from Wilmot Road to Camino Seco.
"The roadway in this area has developed issues below the surface that are causing the pavement to fail," DTM said.
