Pima County votes to halt new data center projects.
Pima County supervisors voted yes on a 120-day moratorium for new data centers in unincorporated areas.
According to documents, the proposal will temporarily halt new data center projects while the county finalizes changes to its zoning code.
Supervisors started the zoning code update process in September.
Now that the moratorium is approved, the county administrator is set to work with the county attorney and other departments to draft a formal resolution.
