Monsoon 2026: Tucson sees dozens of swift water emergencies.
The Tucson Fire Department responded to 47 swift water and stranded person incidents during this year's monsoon.
TFD handled 44 incidents directly, while three Northwest Fire District incidents required TFD unit response.
Of the total calls, 27 were classified as swift water incidents.
24 of those were TFD incidents, and three were Northwest Fire District incidents.
The remaining 20 calls were stranded person incidents.
