Main Gate Square will host two free community pep rallies in October as part of Bear Down Fridays, presented by Marshall Foundation.
The rallies will take place Friday, Oct.
2 and Friday, Oct.
at University Boulevard and Tyndall Avenue.
Bear Down Fridays transforms the district's block-long stretch of shops, restaurants and patios into a gathering spot for University of Arizona Wildcat weekends.
The events draw thousands of people, including students, alumni, families, visitors and city residents.
2 rally opens Family Weekend, and the Oct.
23 rally leads into Homecoming Weekend.
Each night features mascots Wilbur and Wilma, the Pride of Arizona Marching Band, games, prizes and giveaways, food and drink specials at Main Gate Square merchants, and activities for all ages.
Attendees are encouraged to wear red and blue.
