Drunk man hit by vehicle after walking into Tucson traffic, PCSD says.
A man was hit by a vehicle after he walked into traffic while drunk early Thursday morning, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
On Sept. 24 at 5:44 a.m., the department received a call about a crash near Camino Verde and Drexel Road.
Witnesses saw the man stumbling before he walked into the roadway, PCSD said.
The man reportedly stepped in front of an oncoming vehicle and was hit.
PCSD said he initially turned down medical care but was later taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
